The team structure at COREengineering is aligned with the principle of The Golden Circle. We focus on the controlling abilities and differentiate them from the delivery structures, since the code production is now a commodity and the ability of code production management ensures a higher value contribution.
The team is comprised of experienced program managers, senior developers, IT architects, test managers, and business analysts whose joint capability is the overarching control of end-to-end requirements and implementing activities.
The COREengineering team is made up individuals who are among the best in their field internationally, regarded as opinion leaders in their community, and are sought-after contacts for our clients. Together with project partners in research and the industry, they are developing new methods and cooperating with colleagues from CORE institutes.
At COREengineering, we define leadership through competence, empathy and being results orientation. Multiple challenges such as the analysis of professional requirements, design of software and system architectures, operations, implementation, test and deployment, are harmonised with the identification of necessary skills. The combination of complementary characters and moderation of divergent expectations, places the highest demands on leadership competence. Since CORE is largely a flat hierarchy, every executive is challenged of their competence to resolve demands constructively - "Competence leads".

The Scrum Master works closely together with the development teams. They run the scrum process and checks its compliance, as well as moderate the software development teams. A key competency lies in the moderation of the conflicting requirements of management, specialist pages and implementation partners. The strict focus on end products that can be implemented in finite time with limited budgets is a determining factor of commitment.
Dr. Enrico Rizzo
Enrico is a Transformation Manager at CORE and, as an expert in information technology, he supports the conceptualisation of complex IT transformations in global contexts for our clients. With a focus on agile project management, he works closely with our engineering teams and heads the creation and implementation of system designs. With a doctorate in electrical engineering and information technology, he has had comprehensive experience with projects in the field of software development for scientific purposes and for the analysis of overly complex structures. One of the focuses of his work is on leading our Scrum Masters, who support our implementation teams in various project situations.Download vCard
Business Analysts usually perform a role in our clients’ organisations. We often fill this role with a fixed end date in order to bring in market knowledge or absorb peaks in demand. The primary work of business analysts is to analyse the information for consistency and completeness, to structure it and to document it. They form an independent link between the management and the specialist departments of our clients and IT colleagues.
As a Transformation Manager at CORE, Theresa contributes her extensive experience of projects in the insurance sector. She also works closely with our engineering team as an expert in agile project management. She studied Business Economics with a focus on Human Resource and Organisational Management at the University of Greifswald. She gained her first professional experience as a student trainee at university in the field of human resource development and recruitment, and at a consulting firm where she dealt primarily with the operational focus of complex software development projects and the harmonisation of professional requirements with coding.Download vCard
IT Architects consider all static and dynamic aspects of IT in our clients’ organisations and attempt to change these as part of our development assignments.
These include infrastructure (hardware, locations, networks), software (applications), technologies, interfaces, IT-supported functions and processes and the associated architecture management (configuration and capacity planning, load sharing, data security, availability, fail-safe operation, disaster planning etc.).
Dr. Carsten Wedekind
As a Transformation Engineer at CORE, Carsten focuses on the strategic alignment of IT architectures. He also acts as co-chairman of the Lending Working Group in the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN). With a doctorate in physics, he has many years of experience in the implementation of IT projects. Before moving to CORE, Carsten assisted well-known international companies in introducing standard software packages as well as in individual developments.Download vCard
The development of software requires employees, for now. The characteristics for employees at COREengineering of this discipline are to have a deep mathematical understanding, a talent for structures, and a high demand for software quality. The role of a developer has changed over the last few years, so much so that exclusive coding in agile structures is supplemented by roles such as product ownership, overlapping testing or automation.
As a Software Engineer, Bhalchandra supports the development of high-performance applications, from design to implementation. After studying Informatics in India, he completed his Master of Science degree in Automotive Software Engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology. Alongside his tasks as a programmer, Bhalchandra also contributes his experience in algorithm optimisation.Download vCard
Software Testers test and evaluate the software developed by us or our partners to ensure that it meets the requirements defined for its use, and measure its quality by means of predefined indicators. The findings are used to identify and correct software errors. Tests during software development help to ensure that the software goes into operation with as few errors as possible and to minimise the criticality of errors at go-live.
Karim El Tal
As a Software Engineer, Karim focuses on the management of agile software development processes. He is responsible in particular for their quality and implementation. He completed his studies with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering at the American University of Beirut, and most recently he worked as a Lead Engineer.Download vCard
Project leaders are responsible for the operational planning and management of software development projects for our clients. Depending on the type of project, they are responsible for achieving the functional, time-related and budgetary targets in our client projects. In the area of planning, they specify targets and the resources required to achieve them, and coordinate the management of resources in order to make the necessary skills available.
Program Managers safeguard the design planning, overall leadership and controlling of a defined number of software development projects with related content over a set period of time. They establish the program targets in terms of time, function and budget.
Generally, program managers have a high degree of methodological and technological skill and demonstrate exceptional capabilities in two respects: they have a high level of empathy and considerable implementation potential based on personal integrity.
As a Transformation Manager, Elisabeth provides support for the implementation of complex IT projects.
